On Fedora or OpenSUSE, you’ll be able to get the latest release of Steam working through software repositories included within the operating system out of the box. However, the Flatpak release of Steam works much better on these operating systems, so we suggest following those instructions instead.

Flatpak

To use Steam via Flatpak, start by setting up the Flatpak runtime on your computer. The Flatpak runtime is available on a wide variety of operating systems. To set up the runtime, please follow our guide on the subject.
