Advanced video editing software is easy to find if you\u2019re editing on the desktop. You can find free apps to edit videos or you can buy premium ones that offer a more intuitive editing experience and powerful features. The stock Photos app on newer versions of iOS has an edit feature that extends to videos.<\/p>\n

  2. Select the video<\/strong> you want to edit.<\/li>\n
  3. Tap the Edit button<\/strong> at the top right.<\/li>\n
  4. From the controls at the bottom, tap the crop\/flip\/adjust tool.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Drag the corners to crop the video.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. Tap Done<\/strong> and the new video will save over the first one.<\/li>\n
  7. You can undo the changes as long as the video is on your iPhone.<\/strong> If you remove the video, you won\u2019t be able to undo the changes. It\u2019s a good idea to duplicate the video before you edit it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. Crop video in iMovies<\/h3>\n

    iMovie is free on all current iPhone models. If you don\u2019t see it on your phone, you can download it from the App Store.<\/p>\n

    2. Select Movie.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. Select the video<\/strong> you want to crop from your camera roll and tap on Create Movie.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. Tap the video preview<\/strong> and use pinch to zoom to zoom in on the part of the video you want to keep.<\/strong> The part outside it will be cropped out.<\/li>\n

      3. Crop video \u2013 Adobe Premiere Rush<\/h3>\n

      This is a third-party video editing app by Adobe. It\u2019s free but the free version has limitations. If you want a free app that isn\u2019t iMovie but is still free, give Clips a try. It\u2019s another Apple app.<\/p>\n

      1. Open Adobe Premiere Rush and create a new project.<\/strong><\/li>\n
      2. Select media from the camera roll<\/strong> i.e., the video you want to crop.<\/li>\n
      3. Swipe along the control bar<\/strong> at the bottom and tap the Transform tool.<\/strong><\/li>\n
      4. Use the Crop top, Crop Bottom, Crop Left, and Crop Right buttons to select how much you want to crop the video.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
