Both Windows 10 and macOS have it, and Android does as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On a mobile device, picture-in-picture mode generally requires two things; OS-wide support, and app support. iOS 14 is no different so while it does support picture-in-picture mode, apps must also add support for it.<\/p>\n<p>The YouTube app, for example, has not enabled it for users that are not subscribed to its premium service while Twitch and Netflix have made it available for everyone.<\/p>\n<h3>1. Switch to PiP from Control Center<\/h3>\n<p>If you\u2019re having trouble figuring the \u2018flick\u2019 gesture out, there\u2019s another way to quickly, and easily enter picture-in-picture mode in Netflix on iOS.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>Netflix, and play a title.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Once the title is playing, swipe down and <strong>open the Control Center.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Pick any app e.g. <strong>Calculator.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You will <strong>switch to the Calculator app<\/strong> and <strong>Netflix will enter Picture-in-picture mode.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>3. Minimize picture-in-picture mode<\/h3>\n<p>Picture-in-picture mode in iOS 14 is somewhat inspired by the multi-tasking features added in iPadOS last year.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Play <strong>Netflix in picture-in-picture mode.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Tap and <strong>drag the player to the edge<\/strong> of the screen, and release it.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>player will disappear\/minimize<\/strong> with just a tab of it visible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tap the tab<\/strong> again to show the player.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>4. Of course, as the case with other apps, the browser must support the feature.<\/p>\n<p>On iOS 14, Safari does support picture-in-picture mode but YouTube is still able to block it.
