This feature isn’t just restricted to Apple’s iOS devices. You can get iMessages and even text messages pushed to your desktop. Much like iMessages, you can also get incoming call alerts from iOS on macOS. In fact, you can answer these calls on your Mac too. It’s a feature that needs to be enabled. Here’s how.

In order for this feature to work, you need to make sure you have iCloud enabled on the iPhone, and the Mac. You must also be using the exact same Apple ID on both these devices.

To double check the connection/Apple ID, open the Settings app on your iPhone and tap your ID at the top. Scroll down and your Mac should appear as a listed device.

On your Mac, open the System Preferences app and click Apple ID. At the bottom of the left column, your iPhone should be listed as a connected device.

Once you’ve made sure that the devices are using iCloud and the same Apple ID, make sure you have iMessages, and FaceTime enabled on both/all of them.

On your iPhone, open the Settings app, and tap Phone.
