All you have to do is allow the shortcuts to run from the Settings app.<\/p>\n<p>But there seems to be a bug (or maybe it\u2019s a feature), where the option to \u2018Allow Untrusted Shortcuts\u2019 either doesn\u2019t appear in the Settings app, or it is greyed out and cannot be enabled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here\u2019s the simple fix for it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Fix \u2018Allow untrusted shortcuts\u2019 grayed out<\/h2>\n<p>The trick to this is running an actual shortcut in the Shortcuts app. Since you\u2019re barred from running an untrusted shortcut, you\u2019re going to have to find one from the Gallery in the Shortcuts app.<\/p>\n<p>This should be easier to do if you\u2019re on an iPhone and not an iPad since most shortcuts are geared to work on the iPhone. It isn\u2019t enough to just add the shortcut to the app.<\/p>\n<p><em>Add it<\/em>, and then <em>run it<\/em> at least once.<\/p>\n<p>If the shortcut shows an error, or is unable to perform the function it is meant to perform, you will not be able to fix the problem you\u2019re facing. This time, the \u2018Allow Untrusted Shortcuts\u2019 option will no longer be greyed out.<\/p>\n<p>Tap the switch and you will see a confirmation alert asking if you want to allow untrusted shortcuts.
