You can launch a terminal window on the Linux desktop by pressing <strong>Ctrl + Alt + T<\/strong> on the keyboard. Or, search for \u201cterminal\u201d in the app menu and launch it that way.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Follow the installation instructions below to get the latest Steam version working on Linux.<\/p>\n<h4>Ubuntu<\/h4>\n<p>To get Steam working on Ubuntu, you\u2019ll need to use the <strong>apt install<\/strong> command down below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo apt install steam\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Debian<\/h4>\n<p>On Debian, Steam must be downloaded from the Valve website before installation. To get your hands on the latest Steam release for Debian, use the <strong>wget<\/strong> download command below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nwget https:\/\/steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net\/client\/installer\/steam.deb\n<\/pre>\n<p>After downloading the Steam DEB package, the installation can begin. Using the <strong>dpkg<\/strong> command below, install the latest version of Steam on your Debian Linux system.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo dpkg -i steam.deb\n<\/pre>\n<p>With Steam installed, make use of the <strong>apt-get install -f<\/strong> command to correct any dependency issues that may have occurred during the installation process.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo apt-get install -f\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Arch Linux<\/h4>\n<p>On Arch Linux, it is possible to get Steam working. However, you will first have to enable the \u201cmultilib\u201d software repository. To enable the repo, open up the <code>\/etc\/pacman.conf<\/code> file in your favorite text editor (as root).<\/p>\n<p>Once the text editor is open, locate the \u201cmultilib\u201d section and remove the # symbol from in front of it. Then, remove the # symbol from the lines directly below. Finally, save the edits in the text editor and run the <strong>pacman<\/strong> command.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo pacman -Syy\n<\/pre>\n<p>When the \u201cmultilib\u201d software repository is enabled, install the latest Steam on your Arch Linux system using the <strong>pacman<\/strong> command down below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo pacman -S steam\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Fedora\/OpenSUSE<\/h4>\n<p>On Fedora Linux as well as OpenSUSE Linux, Steam is available for installation within software repositories included in the operating system. However, the Flatpak release of Steam works much better, so we suggest following those instructions instead.<\/p>\n<h4>Flatpak<\/h4>\n<p>If you\u2019d like to get Steam working as a Flatpak, you\u2019ll need to install the Flatpak runtime on your computer. You can set up the runtime on your computer by following the guide on the subject.<\/p>\n<p>After setting up the Flatpak runtime on your computer, the installation of Steam can begin. Using the two <strong>flatpak<\/strong> commands down below, install the latest release of Steam on your computer.<\/p>\n<pre>\nflatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https:\/\/flathub.org\/repo\/flathub.flatpakrepo\n<\/pre>\n<pre>\nflatpak install flathub com.valvesoftware.Steam\n<\/pre>\n<h3>Install Superflight on Linux<\/h3>\n<p>Now that the Steam application is installed on your computer open it up. You can launch the Steam app by searching for it in the app menu. Once the app is open, log into your account using your user account credentials. Then, follow the step-by-step instructions below to get Superflight working on Linux.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Click on the \u201cSteam\u201d menu inside of the Steam app and then select the \u201cSettings\u201d button. Inside of the \u201cSettings\u201d area, find the \u201cSteam Play\u201d section and click on it with the mouse.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-293847 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/files2.tojikon.net\/files-cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/how-to-play-super-flight-on-linux.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"689\"\/><\/p>\n<p>In the Steam Play area, you\u2019ll need to check both the \u201cEnable Steam Play for supported titles\u201d box and the \u201cEnable Steam Play for all other titles\u201d box. Then, click on the \u201cOK\u201d button to confirm your settings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Find the \u201cStore\u201d button and click on it with the mouse to access the Steam store. Then, click on the search box and type in \u201cSuperflight.
