Sadly, there is no other way to make the download available. However, the good news is that the course is entirely free.<\/p>\n<p>To enroll in the course, start by heading over to the \u201cIntroduction to Packet Tracer\u201d course page. Once on the page, locate the \u201cSign up today!\u201d button, and click on it with the mouse.<\/p>\n<p>When you select the \u201cSign up today!\u201d button with the mouse, a form will appear on the screen. In this form, fill out your email, first and last name, communication preferences, etc.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After filling out the form, scroll to the bottom of the page. On the bottom of the page, find the \u201cSubmit\u201d button and click on it with the mouse to submit it to Cisco.<\/p>\n<h3>Create an account<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-398720 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/files2.tojikon.net\/files-cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/how-to-install-cisco-packet-tracer-on-linux-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"482\"\/><\/p>\n<p>So, you\u2019ve signed up for the \u201cIntroduction to Packet Tracer\u201d course. Next, you must create a Cisco account. To do this, fill out your email, first and last name, country or region, etc. You\u2019ll also need to create a password.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve filled out the account information into the page, you must solve the Captcha. Look at the image and fill out the Captcha.<\/p>\n<p>After filling out the Captcha on the page, you\u2019ll need to tell Cisco if you\u2019d like to receive email updates. To verify your email account, log into your email, locate the message and copy the verification code to your clipboard.<\/p>\n<p>After copying the verification code to your clipboard, press <strong>Ctrl + V\u00a0<\/strong>on the keyboard to paste it into the text box, then select the \u201cVerify\u201d button to confirm the code.<\/p>\n<h3>Configure your profile<\/h3>\n<p>You\u2019ll need to configure your Cisco profile after creation. To configure your profile, fill out the forms on the Cisco welcome page. To download Packet Tracer on Linux, head to your Cisco \u201cI\u2019m Learning\u201d page.<\/p>\n<p>Once on the page, scroll to the bottom, locate \u201cPacket Tracer\u201d under the \u201cResources\u201d section, and click on it. After selecting the \u201cPacket Tracer\u201d link, you\u2019ll be taken to the download page.<\/p>\n<p>On the \u201cPacket Tracer\u201d download page, scroll to the bottom and locate the \u201cDownload\u201d section. Then, click on \u201c64 Bit Download\u201d under the \u201cLinux Desktop Version 8.0 English\u201d section.<\/p>\n<p>When you click on the download link under \u201cLinux Desktop Version 8.0 English,\u201d a DEB package will download to your Linux PC. When it is complete, open up a terminal window by pressing\u00a0<strong>Ctrl + Alt + T\u00a0<\/strong>on the keyboard to open up a terminal window, then follow the installation instructions in the next section.<\/p>\n<h2>Installing Packet Tracer on Linux<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-398733 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/files2.tojikon.net\/files-cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/how-to-install-cisco-packet-tracer-on-linux.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Packet Tracer is installable on Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, and any operating system based on Ubuntu or Debian. Additionally, it is installable on Arch Linux and Manjaro Linux via the AUR.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h4>Ubuntu<\/h4>\n<p>To install Packet Tracer on Ubuntu, start by using the\u00a0<strong>CD\u00a0<\/strong>command and move into the \u201cDownloads\u201d directory where the DEB package was downloaded.<\/p>\n<pre>\ncd ~\/Downloads\n<\/pre>\n<p>Once inside the \u201cDownloads\u201d folder, you can install the Packet Tracer application on your Ubuntu Linux PC by using the <strong>apt\u00a0<\/strong>command below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo apt install .\/PacketTracer_*_final.deb\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Debian<\/h4>\n<p>On Debian Linux, you will be able to install Packet Tracer the same way Ubuntu users do. To start the installation, use the\u00a0<strong>CD\u00a0<\/strong>command to move into the \u201cDownloads\u201d directory where the DEB package is.<\/p>\n<pre>\ncd ~\/Downloads\n<\/pre>\n<p>Inside of the \u201cDownloads\u201d directory, execute the <strong>dpkg\u00a0<\/strong>command to install the Packet Tracer DEB package on Debian.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo dpkg -i PacketTracer_*_final.deb\n<\/pre>\n<p>After installing the Packet Tracer application, you may need to correct some dependency issues. To do that, enter the command below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo apt-get install -f\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Arch Linux\/Manjaro<\/h4>\n<p>On Arch Linux as well as Manjaro, it is possible to install Packet Tracer using the AUR. To start, ensure you\u2019ve downloaded the Packet Tracer DEB package. Then, use the commands below to install the \u201cgit\u201d and \u201cbase-devel\u201d packages.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo pacman -S git base-devel\n<\/pre>\n<p>After installing the two packages, use the\u00a0<strong>git clone\u00a0<\/strong>command to manually download the Packet Tracer AUR package.<\/p>\n<pre>\ngit clone https:\/\/aur.archlinux.org\/packettracer.git\n<\/pre>\n<p>Once the \u201cpackettracer\u201d AUR package is done downloading, open up the Linux file manager, browse for the Packet Tracer DEB package and place it in the \u201cpackettracer\u201d folder in your home directory.
