Once the terminal window is open, use the command-line installation instructions outlined below to get the application working on the OS you use.<\/p>\n<h4>Ubuntu<\/h4>\n<p>On Ubuntu, the Steam application is easily installable via the <strong>Apt\u00a0<\/strong>command below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo apt install steam\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Debian<\/h4>\n<p>If you\u2019re using Debian Linux, you\u2019ll need to download the Steam package manually to install it. To start the download, use the following\u00a0<strong>wget\u00a0<\/strong>command down below in a terminal window.<\/p>\n<pre>\nwget https:\/\/steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net\/client\/installer\/steam.deb\n<\/pre>\n<p>With the Steam DEB package done downloading to your computer, it is time to install the package. To install the package on your computer, make use of the\u00a0<strong>dpkg\u00a0<\/strong>command down below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo dpkg -i steam.deb\n<\/pre>\n<p>Finally, finish installing Steam by correcting any dependency errors that may have occurred.\u00a0<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo apt-get install -f\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Arch Linux<\/h4>\n<p>On Arch Linux, you\u2019ll be able to get the latest release of Steam up and running with the\u00a0<strong>Pacman\u00a0<\/strong>command below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo pacman -S steam\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Fedora\/OpenSUSE<\/h4>\n<p>If you\u2019re using OpenSUSE or Fedora, it is possible to install Steam through their respective software repositories. However, it is our opinion that the Flatpak release of Steam works better, so please follow those instructions instead.<\/p>\n<h4>Flatpak<\/h4>\n<p>To get the Steam app working via Flatpak, you\u2019ll need to do a few things. To start, you\u2019ll need to set up the Flatpak runtime. To configure and set up the Flatpak runtime on Linux, follow our guide on the subject.<\/p>\n<p>After setting up the Flatpak runtime on your Linux PC, the next step in the installation process is to use the\u00a0<strong>remote-add\u00a0<\/strong>command down below to set up the Flathub app store. This app store has the Steam app, so it is required.<\/p>\n<pre>\nflatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https:\/\/flathub.org\/repo\/flathub.flatpakrepo\n<\/pre>\n<p>Once the Flathub app store is set up on your computer, use the following installation command down below to get the Steam application working.<\/p>\n<pre>\nflatpak install flathub com.valvesoftware.Steam\n<\/pre>\n<h3>Install Nioh 2 on Linux<\/h3>\n<p>When the Steam application is set up on your Linux PC as a Flatpak, open it up by searching for it in the app menu. After that, follow along with the Step-by-step process down below to get Nioh 2 working on Linux.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:\u00a0<\/strong>To start, find the \u201cSteam\u201d menu and click on it with the mouse. Once inside of the Steam menu, find the \u201cSettings\u201d button, and select it. Then, click on \u201cSteam Play\u201d and check both \u00a0\u201cEnable Steam Play for supported titles\u201d and \u201cEnable Steam Play for all other titles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-293847 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/files2.tojikon.net\/files-cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/how-to-play-nioh-2-on-linux.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"689\"\/><\/p>\n<p>When both boxes are checked, find the \u201cOK\u201d button, and select it. By selecting it, Steam will restart. When Steam is done restarting, move on to Step 2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Find the \u201cSTORE\u201d button at the top of Steam and select it to go to the Store. Once on the Store, find the search box, and click on it. Keep in mind that the game may take a second to start up. As the game starts up, Steam will configure it to run on Linux.
