Thankfully though, it is possible to play this game on any Linux system with a few tweaks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>Install Steam<\/h3>\n<h4>Ubuntu<\/h4>\n<p>On Ubuntu Linux, Steam is easily installable via the\u00a0<strong>Apt\u00a0<\/strong>command below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo apt install steam\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Debian<\/h4>\n<p>If you\u2019re using Debian Linux, you can get Steam working quite quickly by downloading the DEB package directly from Valve\u2019s Steam website. To start the download process, use the following\u00a0<strong>wget\u00a0<\/strong>command down below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nwget https:\/\/steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net\/client\/installer\/steam.deb\n<\/pre>\n<p>After downloading Steam to your Debian Linux PC, you can install the software using the\u00a0<strong>dpkg\u00a0<\/strong>command.<\/p>\n<pre> sudo dpkg -i steam.deb\n<\/pre>\n<p>With the Steam DEB package installed on Debian, you must correct any dependency issues during the installation process. To correct the dependencies on your PC, execute the following <strong>apt-get install -f\u00a0<\/strong>command below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo apt-get install -f\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Arch Linux<\/h4>\n<p>To install Steam on Arch Linux, ensure that the \u201cmultilib\u201d software repository is enabled in <code>\/etc\/pacman.conf<\/code>. Once it is enabled, use the\u00a0<strong>Pacman -Syy\u00a0<\/strong>command to re-sync your servers with Arch. Doing this command will also set up \u201cmultilib.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After getting \u201cmultilib working, use the command below to install the latest release of Steam.\u00a0<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo pacman -S steam\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Fedora\/OpenSUSE<\/h4>\n<p>On both Fedora Linux as well as OpenSUSE Linux, Steam is easily installable through a software repository. That said, these versions of the app aren\u2019t as good, so we don\u2019t recommend going this route. Instead, we suggest installing Steam via Flatpak.<\/p>\n<h4>Flatpak<\/h4>\n<p>Steam is available as a Flatpak package in the Flathub app store. If you\u2019d like to use the Flatpak release of Steam, you\u2019ll need first to enable the Flatpak runtime. To turn on the runtime, install the \u201cflatpak\u201d package using your Linux PC\u2019s package manager.<\/p>\n<p>Can\u2019t figure out how to set up Flatpak on your Linux PC? It walks you through how to install and set up the runtime.<\/p>\n<p>Once the Flatpak runtime is up and running, it is time to enable the Flathub app store. To enable Flathub, use the following\u00a0<strong>flatpak remote-add\u00a0<\/strong>command below.\u00a0<\/p>\n<pre>\nflatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https:\/\/flathub.org\/repo\/flathub.flatpakrepo\n<\/pre>\n<p>With the Flathub app store set up in Flatpak on Linux, you\u2019ll be able to install Steam on your computer. To install, enter the following\u00a0<strong>flatpak install\u00a0<\/strong>command down below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nflatpak install flathub com.valvesoftware.Steam\n<\/pre>\n<h3>Play Dead Rising on Linux<\/h3>\n<p>Now that Steam is installed and ready to use, open it up and log in using your user credentials. After that, follow the step-by-step instructions down below to play Dead Rising on Linux!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:\u00a0<\/strong>Inside Steam, find the \u201cSteam\u201d menu and click on it to reveal its options. Once inside, select the \u201cSettings\u201d menu entry to open up the Steam settings area. These boxes are \u201cEnable Steam Play for supported titles\u201d and \u201cEnable Steam Play for all other titles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Locate the \u201cStore\u201d button at the top of Steam and click on it to access the Steam Store.
