Installing Lutris on Linux<\/h3>\n

Hearthstone works on Linux, thanks to Lutris, a gaming application that makes Wine gaming very easy. Hearthstone has a \u201cGold\u201d rating, and they claim the game works after some minor tweaking.<\/p>\n

To start, you must install the Lutris application on your Linux PC. The installation of Lutris is pretty easy, no matter what Linux OS you are using. First, start the process by opening up a terminal window on the Linux desktop by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T\u00a0<\/strong>on the keyboard or search for \u201cTerminal\u201d in the app menu. Then, once the terminal window is open and ready to use, follow the installation instructions below that correspond with the Linux OS you currently use.<\/p>\n

Ubuntu<\/h4>\n

On Ubuntu, you can get the Lutris application up and running by adding the official PPA. Then, using the add-apt-repository\u00a0<\/strong>command below, set up the PPA.<\/p>\n

\nsudo add-apt-repository ppa:lutris-team\/lutris\n<\/pre>\n
Next, run the\u00a0update\u00a0<\/strong>command to refresh Ubuntu\u2019s software sources.<\/p>\n

Once everything is up to date, you can install the Lutris application on your Ubuntu PC using the\u00a0apt install\u00a0<\/strong>command down below.<\/p>\n

Debian<\/h4>\n
Lutris works on Debian in the same way as Ubuntu. First, you must set up an Apt repository. You can do this with the following\u00a0echo\u00a0<\/strong>command in a terminal window.<\/p>\n

Next, use the\u00a0wget\u00a0<\/strong>command to download the Lutris software repo key. This key is critical to installing Lutris, and without it, nothing will work. So don\u2019t skip this step!<\/p>\n

After setting up the key, you\u2019ll have to run the\u00a0update\u00a0<\/strong>command to refresh Debian\u2019s software sources. You\u2019ll need to do this to be able to install Lutris.<\/p>\n

When Debian is up to date, you can install the Lutris application on your Debian PC.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Arch Linux<\/h4>\n
On Arch Linux, it is straightforward to install Lutris. To do it, use the pacman\u00a0<\/strong>command below.<\/p>\n

Fedora<\/h4>\n
You\u2019ll be able to get Lutris up and running on Fedora quickly using the\u00a0dnf install\u00a0<\/strong>command below.<\/p>\n

OpenSUSE<\/h4>\n
OpenSUSE has the Lutris application in the official SUSE repositories. To get it working, use the\u00a0zypper install\u00a0<\/strong>command.<\/p>\n

Installing Hearthstone on Linux<\/h2>\n
To start the installation of Hearthstone, head over to the game\u2019s page on Lutris.com. Then, find the \u201cInstall\u201d button, and click on it with the mouse to start the Hearthstone installer.<\/p>\n
After clicking on the \u201cInstall\u201d button, Lutris will start up, and the installation window will appear. Don\u2019t click \u201cInstall\u201d just yet. Instead, head over to this page and install all required dependencies for Battlenet to run on Linux.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Battlenet will NOT work without configuring both the dependencies and Vulkan drivers. When you\u2019ve finished setting up both drivers and dependencies, go back to the Lutris app and click on the \u201cInstall\u201d button to begin setting up Hearthstone.<\/p>\n

After selecting the install button, Lutris will ask you where to place the Hearthstone game files. Leave it at default, or, if you wish to change the directory, click on the \u201cBrowse\u201d button and choose a different folder.<\/p>\n
