Currently, it is out on Windows, OSX, and Linux. Here\u2019s how to get it working on your Linux PC.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-406229 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/files2.tojikon.net\/files-cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/how-to-play-tyranny-on-linux.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"652\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Tyranny was natively released on Linux. However, you\u2019ll need to install Steam to play it on your computer. So, we must go over how to install Steam on your Linux PC before installing the game.<\/p>\n<h3>Install Steam<\/h3>\n<p>To install Tyranny on your Linux PC, open up a terminal window on the Linux desktop. You can open up a terminal window on the Linux desktop by pressing\u00a0<strong>Ctrl + Alt + T\u00a0<\/strong>on the keyboard. Alternatively, search for \u201cTerminal\u201d in the app menu and launch it that way.<\/p>\n<p>Once the terminal window is open and ready to use, follow the command-line installation instructions outlined below that match the Linux operating system, you use on your computer.<\/p>\n<h4>Ubuntu<\/h4>\n<p>On Ubuntu, you can install the Steam application directly from the default software repos using the\u00a0<strong>Apt\u00a0<\/strong>command below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo apt install steam\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Debian<\/h4>\n<p>Those on Debian can best install Steam through the Steam website. To start, you\u2019ll need to download the latest DEB release of Steam to your computer. Then, using the <strong>wget\u00a0<\/strong>command below, begin the download.<\/p>\n<pre>\nwget https:\/\/steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net\/client\/installer\/steam.deb\n<\/pre>\n<p>When the DEB package is done downloading to your Debian PC, it will be ready to install on the system. Using the\u00a0<strong>dpkg\u00a0<\/strong>command below, get Steam working.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo dpkg -i steam.deb\n<\/pre>\n<p>With Steam set up on your Linux PC, the last step in the process is to correct any dependency issues that may have arisen during the installation process. To fix this problem, use the\u00a0<strong>apt-get install -f\u00a0<\/strong>command below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo apt-get install -f\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Arch Linux<\/h4>\n<p>On Arch Linux, it is possible to install Steam. However, you\u2019ll need first to enable the \u201cmultilib\u201d software runtime. To do that, open up the \/etc\/pacman.conf file in your favorite text editor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Once it is open in the text editor, locate the \u201cmultilib\u201d line, and remove the # symbol from in front of it. Do the same for lines directly below. When done, save the edits and re-sync pacman to the Arch repos.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo pacman -Syy\n<\/pre>\n<p>Finally, install Steam onto your Arch Linux system.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo pacman -S steam\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Fedora\/OpenSUSE<\/h4>\n<p>Those on Fedora or OpenSUSE will be able to install Steam through software repositories included in the operating system. That being said, the Flatpak release of Steam tends to work better on these operating systems, and we suggest those instructions instead.<\/p>\n<h4>Flatpak<\/h4>\n<p>To get Steam up and running on your computer via Flatpak, you\u2019ll have to install the Flatpak runtime onto your computer. To do that, please follow our installation guide for the Flatpak runtime.<\/p>\n<p>When the Flatpak runtime is set up on your computer, you can now install the latest release of Steam using the two commands below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nflatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https:\/\/flathub.org\/repo\/flathub.flatpakrepo\n<\/pre>\n<pre>\nflatpak install flathub com.valvesoftware.Steam\n<\/pre>\n<h3>Install Tyranny on Linux<\/h3>\n<p>With Steam set up on your Linux PC, open up Steam, log into your account and follow the step-by-step instructions below to get Tyranny working on Linux!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:\u00a0<\/strong>Find the \u201cStore\u201d button, and click on it with the mouse to access the Steam Storefront. Then, find the search box, and click on it with the mouse. Type in \u201cTyranny\u201d and press the\u00a0<strong>Enter key\u00a0<\/strong>to view the search results.<\/p>\n<p>Look through the search results to locate \u201cTyranny.\u201d Then, click on the game in the search results to access Tyranny\u2019s Steam store page.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-406231 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/files2.tojikon.net\/files-cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/how-to-play-tyranny-on-linux-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"791\"\/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> On the Steam store page, find the green \u201cAdd to cart\u201d button and select it with the mouse. When you click on this button, you\u2019ll add the game to your Steam cart for purchase.<\/p>\n<p>Click on the cart icon in the top-right corner of Steam to access your cart. Then, go through the process of buying Tyranny and adding it to your Steam account.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-406232 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.addictivetips.com\/app\/uploads\/2021\/07\/tyranny-store.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1008\"\/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Find the \u201cLibrary\u201d button, and click on it with the mouse. When you select this button, you\u2019ll be brought to your Steam games collection. From here, locate the search box, and click on it with the mouse.<\/p>\n<p>Inside of the library search box, type in \u201cTyranny\u201d and look through the results. Then, click on \u201cTyranny\u201d to access the game\u2019s Steam page.
