That being said, it isn\u2019t a default Gnome application, so you have to install it manually.<\/p>\n<p>To start the installation, open up a terminal window on the Linux desktop. You can open up a terminal window on the Linux desktop by pressing <strong>Ctrl + Alt + T<\/strong> on the keyboard. Or, search for \u201cTerminal\u201d in the app menu and launch it that way.<\/p>\n<p>With the terminal window is open, the installation of Fragments can begin. Then, follow along with the installation instructions down below that correspond with the Linux distro you use.<\/p>\n<h4>Arch Linux<\/h4>\n<p>The Fragments application is available for Arch Linux users in the \u201cCommunity\u201d software repository. First, enable the \u201ccommunity\u201d repo in the <code>\/etc\/pacman.conf<\/code> file on your system. After that, use the <strong>pacman -S<\/strong> command to set up the \u201cfragments\u201d application to your system.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo pacman -S fragments\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Fedora<\/h4>\n<p>Ever since Fedora 33, the Fragments torrent client has been available in the central Fedora software repositories. To get the app working on your system, use the <strong>dnf install<\/strong> command down below to get the \u201cFragments\u201d torrent client set up on your system.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo dnf install fragments\n<\/pre>\n<h4>OpenSUSE<\/h4>\n<p>The Fragments torrent client is available for installation on OpenSUSE through the \u201cGnome Apps\u201d software repository. However, this repo must be enabled manually, as it is not included out of the box.<\/p>\n<p>To add the Gnome Apps repo to your OpenSUSE installation, enter the following <strong>zypper install<\/strong> command down below.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo zypper addrepo https:\/\/ftp.lysator.liu.se\/pub\/opensuse\/repositories\/GNOME:\/Apps\/openSUSE_Leap_15.3\/ gnome-apps-x86_64\n<\/pre>\n<p>With the repo added to OpenSUSE, you\u2019ll be able to install the \u201cFragments\u201d application on your system using the <strong>zypper install<\/strong> command.<\/p>\n<pre>\nsudo zypper install Fragments\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Flatpak<\/h4>\n<p>The Fragments torrent client is available for Linux users as a Flatpak package on Flathub. However, before the application can begin, you\u2019ll have to set up the Flatpak runtime on your computer. It is not possible to install Fragments without the runtime.<\/p>\n<p>To set up the Flatpak runtime on your computer, install the \u201cFlatpak\u201d package. For more instructions, follow along with our Flatpak setup guide.<\/p>\n<p>After setting up the Flatpak runtime on your computer, use the two commands down below to get the latest release of Fragments set up on your computer.<\/p>\n<pre>\nflatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https:\/\/flathub.org\/repo\/flathub.flatpakrepo\nflatpak install flathub de.haeckerfelix.Fragments\n<\/pre>\n<h4>Snap package<\/h4>\n<p>Want to install the Fragments application on your Linux PC through the Snap store? Start by enabling the Snap package runtime. The Fragments application will not install without the runtime. Set it up by following the guide on the subject.<\/p>\n<p>After setting up the Snap runtime, the Fragments torrent application can be installed using the following <strong>snap install<\/strong> command below.<\/p>\n<h2>Using Fragments on Linux<\/h2>\n<p>Fragments is a simple, easy-to-use BitTorrent client. To use it, start by launching it on the desktop. Then, you can launch the app by searching for it in the app menu. Then, click on the \u201c+\u201d icon with the mouse. When you select this button, a pop-up menu will appear on the screen. Using the pop-up window, select the torrent file you wish to use in Fragments.<\/p>\n<p>After selecting a torrent file in the pop-up window, Fragments will immediately start the download process. After selecting the \u201cDownloads\u201d folder, you\u2019ll be able to access your newly download file. To remove a seeding torrent from the system, select the torrent with the mouse. After selecting the file with the mouse, click on the \u201ctrash can\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p>When you select the \u201ctrash can\u201d button, Fragments will bring up a pop-up menu.
